Gordon Ridgway
Gordon founded the farm in 1980 with the help of his late father Bruce and mother Kitty. The farm was just land when they bought it, but thirty years later, there are many buildings on the farm, many built by Gordon himself. Gordon is the first selectman of Cornwall, and was first elected in 1991. He is an active community member, especially with the Cornwall Volunteer Fire Department.
Jayne Ridgway
Jayne is a Housatonic Valley Regional High School and University of Connecticut graduate. She married Gordon and moved to the farm. Jayne coordinates the flowers and has her wonderful range of “Jayne’s Best” products of salad dressing and pesto. Jayne is the registrar of voters in Cornwall and is an EMT with the Cornwall Volunteer Fire Department.

Elizabeth Ridgway Russ
Elizabeth is Jayne and Gordon’s eldest child. She was an active member of the Busy Famer’s 4-H Club for several years, and some of her fondest memories are of showing cows. Elizabeth is now a nurse practitioner. You may also see her volunteering as EMS Captain with the Cornwall Volunteer Fire Department and hiking with her dog Fenway. She lives in Cornwall with her husband, Will, and their pets.
Ian Ridgway
Ian is the middle child of Gordon and Jayne. Ian is bringing the next generation of farming through his passion for apples and cider. He is a dedicated worker on the farm and is expanding our offerings through planting an apple orchard. Ian graduated from Dickinson College, majoring in Environmental Studies. He is a Fire Captain with the Cornwall Volunteer Fire Department and an EMT.

Rebecca Ridgway
Rebecca is Gordon and Jayne’s youngest child. Rebecca has studied Environmental Studies at Hamilton College and the University of Pennsylvania. She is passionate about connecting her experiences working on the farm to larger issues such as climate change, food waste, and local food access. She continued the family tradition of joining the Cornwall Volunteer Fire Department as an EMT.
